Finding the historical stone inscription of Salamgah of Khizr cemetery in Khorramabad



According to Aria Heritage Report, quoting from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan today, Friday, August 21, 1401, Atta Hasanpour said while announcing this news: “About three years ago, the historical stone inscription of Khizr Cemetery in Khorram Abad, known as Salamgah Stone, was written by some profiteers. He was taken outside and moved to an unknown place.

The General Director of Lorestan’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts expressed appreciation for the follow-up of Lorestan researcher Seyyed Mohammad Seifzadeh: “The place of transfer of the said inscription was found under dozens of tons of construction waste in the area of ​​Salehin Mausoleum of Khorramabad, and with the efforts of the municipal forces, this inscription was removed from under the waste. A building was pulled out and handed over to the colleagues of the Lorestan Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Hasanpour added: “This three-sided and triangular-shaped stone inscription is about 100 years old and has three different texts with prayers and Quranic verses, each of which begins with Bismillah, Rahman, Raheem, and its stonemason is a person named Abulqasem Shirazi.”

In the end, while appreciating and thanking Omid Saki, CEO of Aramestan, Khorramabad Municipality officials, as well as the logistical cooperation of Hamidreza Kermond, CEO of Water and Wastewater Company, he said: “Additional information about this stone will be published in the near future.”
