Food tax exemption subject to obtaining a health certificate

According to Fars News Agency, the Iranian Chamber of Trade Unions announced in a statement to unions and trade unions active in the field of foodstuffs that the food tax exemption is conditional on obtaining a health certificate.

The announcement states: Due to the entry into force of the Permanent Law on Value Added Tax by the Tax Affairs Organization from 1400.10.13, the application of tax exemptions for foodstuffs mentioned in the permit Note (4) paragraph (a) of Article (9) It is subject to obtaining a product health certificate from competent legal authorities such as the National Standard Organization of Iran and the Food and Drug Administration.
