Form another working group to combat film smuggling

A working group will be formed consisting of representatives of the cinema organization, cinematographers, and security and judicial centers to prevent and react quickly to combat film smuggling.
Theater News Base: The Director General of Supervision of Film Release and Screening – Ruhollah Sohrabi – announced the following: Extraordinary meeting on combating film smuggling and protection of cinematographic works in the presence of the Deputy Director of Evaluation and Supervision, Representative of the Attorney General, FATA Police Representative, relevant protection managers And a number of heads of film guilds, including the head of the filmmakers’ guild, the head of the distributors’ guild, the head of the producers’ guild, and the director general of the Film Supervision and Distribution Supervision were held at the Cinema Organization.
He stated: In this meeting, after reviewing the current situation and long discussions in the field of combating film smuggling and film recording on screen, it was decided to immediately form a working group for this purpose. The members of this working group will be people from the Ministry of Guidance, filmmakers and security and judicial centers. Also in this meeting, while emphasizing on appointing concerned and specialized managers for cinema halls and completing the staff of watchful manpower in the halls, an accurate report was prepared to prepare the status of CCTV cameras in the halls.
Sohrabi said: “Emphasis on the interaction and comprehensive cooperation between the security and judicial centers and the cinema organization in order to deal with this problem and a more serious resumption, the activity of the Committee to Combat Film Trafficking was another outcome of this meeting.”
Recently, there have been reports of illegal filming of some of the films being screened, in response to which the new Director General of Supervision of Film Screening and Screening in Reaction to Film Smuggling through Cinema Screening said that in this regard, filmmakers and the association Cinematographers must be held accountable.
He said: “Evidence shows that the inaccuracy of those involved in theaters is the main cause of film smuggling from the screen and it is expected that its stakeholders and responsible people will use all available capacities to take care of the filmmakers’ capital.
