Former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and Jordan: Resistance is the only victorious discourse of the future

Ahmad Dastmalchian said on Monday evening at the specialized meeting “Middle East; Geopolitical Changes and Challenges Ahead” hosted by Shiraz University: “Currently, the Takfiri, Wahhabi and even Brotherhood discourses have failed.” Because the Wahhabi discourse was a very bloody, violent and cruel Takfiri, and the Brotherhood discourse failed because it was out of date and inefficient.
The former ambassador of Iran to Lebanon and Jordan added: “In the current situation, the discourse of resistance is empty and today Muslim youth are waiting for a newer discourse to turn to.” Therefore, we must make good use of the opportunity created to form the discourse of resistance.
He continued: “Developments in the Middle East region are due to the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the profound and profound changes that the glorious Islamic Revolution created in the region.” The Islamic Revolution was an enlightening, guiding, guiding and inspiring revolution. This revolution was a complete revolution in slogans and goals, which brought about a great change in the ideological path and political vision of the people.
Dastmalchian added: “The enemy is currently very sensitive to inspiring the revolution.” Because the inspiration for the revolution brought about profound changes in the Middle East.
He stated: But what is more important than anything else was the goal of Imam Khomeini (as) in directing the struggle. Imam Khomeini established the struggle against global arrogance as a fundamental goal from June 6, 1963, when the movement began, and pursued this goal until the last moments of his blessed life.
Dastmalchian said: “Islam has been immortalized because it always makes people concerned and purposeful, and it is this belief that motivates people and makes them move.” Imam Khomeini also paid attention to this point and made a purposeful and concerned revolution for the people, and this ideal continues to this day, which is more than forty years since the glorious Islamic Revolution.
He stated: Imam Khomeini (as) also founded the resistance. In fact, the Islamic Revolution has no meaning without resistance, and resistance is associated with the revolution. If the Islamic Revolution does not have resistance, the goal and motivation will disappear and the revolution will stagnate. The dynamism of the Islamic Revolution is due to the important element of resistance, which is defined in the goals and ideals of the revolution.
The diplomat added: “The important element of resistance by Imam Khomeini became an idea based on which the idea of structuring was done.” The first structure of the resistance was the structure of Hezbollah, in which those involved in the resistance, especially Martyr Qassem Soleimani, irrigated the rooted tree of Hezbollah and the resistance, and today we are witnessing the growth of this tree.
Dastmalchian stated: “Resistance has become an obstacle for the enemies and the beginning of important changes in the balance of power in the region.” It can be said that the change in the balance of power in the region through resistance was the beginning of greater changes.
He said: “Today, this line of resistance starts from the south of Lebanon and extends to Yemen and the gates of Bab al-Mandeb. Even the resistance groups in these lands were structurally connected and now have a command, an idea and a form.” Are units. In other words, today the land is in the hands of the resistance and the Islamic Republic of Iran is considered its aristocrat.
Dastmalchian continued: “We have hundreds of thousands of classic fighters and trained in this field, and these changes are a profound and geopolitical change in the region.”
He added: “I believe that change in the Middle East began with the start of proxy wars in Syria, and the region has since moved towards a new order.”
“We are in transition now,” he said. Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia are very influential in these changes, and in my opinion, the Islamic Republic of Iran has cleverly been able to lead in this direction and play a decisive and undeniable role in the developments in the region.
The former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and Jordan stated: “In addition to winning in the military and security arenas, the resistance has also won in the political and ideological arenas.” This is a good uprising that will be the beginning of the main path for greater change in the Middle East.
A researcher on Middle East issues also pointed to the prospects of strategic change in the Middle East and said: “We are witnessing strategic changes in the turbulent region of the Middle East in two spectrums of change from within and changes from outside.” This region has always faced changes in individuals in governments and changes in the content and form of governments.
Hassan Lasjerdi continued: “Changes in the structure of governments will cause substantive changes in principles and foundations and changes in ideas and thoughts.”
He added: “Undoubtedly, changes in government will lead to changes in people’s lifestyles and changes in people’s use of the opportunities they have.”
Lasgerdi said: “Undoubtedly, with the advancement of technology and the continuous and massive interaction that has been created between governments and nations through technology, we will see acceleration in these three years in the coming years and days in the field of governments, thoughts and lifestyles.” .
“One of the strategic points is the formation of coalitions, unions and the convergence and divergence of countries with each other,” he said. The overt and covert competition of countries in different regions is one of the principles of governance that determines the degree of influence and credibility of each country.
“In the Middle East, we are facing the phenomenon that countries are trying for various reasons, either to join regional coalitions and unions, or to try to show their capability through extra-regional coalitions,” he said.
“The Middle East region has always moved in the direction of forming coalitions, convergences and divergences under the influence of external and internal factors. Although we can not ignore the role of external powers due to the sensitivity of the Middle East region, I believe What matters are the regions and the main actors that shape these coalitions.
He added: “Although we are currently witnessing signs of Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia playing a role as three actors in the Middle East, but in the coming days we will certainly hear more of these three important actors in the region and their presence in any action, coalition and Or we will see political gatherings every round. The distance and proximity of these three powers can affect the model, shape, image and form of future coalitions.
“Despite the withdrawal of the United States from the region, I believe that the United States will not leave the region because of the characteristics and potentials that exist in the Middle East,” Lasjerdi said.
“We in the Middle East are facing a threat called different ideas,” he said. But what is certain is that the issue of the strategic perspective of the Middle East region can not be far from the thoughts arising from the types and varieties of “isms” of the region.
Lasjerdi said: “The experience of recent years has shown that part of the formation of strategic relations in the region has depended on religious ideas, whether extremist and takfiri religious ideas or moderate ideas.
He reminded: “Currently, the countries of the region are redoubled their efforts to strengthen and improve their position in the region, and also different countries in the region are trying to propose and follow different economic models beyond the previous ideas.”
“According to available statistics, the Middle East is one of the most important regions in the world that uses a variety of technologies in various fields,” he said.
“We are in the current context of the Middle East region to form a strategic process with threats that we must prepare to face,” he said.
He added: “In general, strategic changes in the Middle East are based on changing the view and thinking of governments and lifestyles. Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia also play an important role in forming future alliances.”
“The future strategic processes will also be influenced by new phenomena of modern life such as media, technologies and facilities in various sciences,” Lasjerdi said.
The Middle East: Geopolitical Changes and Challenges Ahead Conference was organized by the Center for Strategic Studies in the Persian Gulf, Shiraz University, the Iranian Association for West Asian Studies, and the Political Science Group of the House of Humanities Thinkers.
