According to the Mehr news agency, the first wrestling training session was held under the coaching of Talib Nematpour, one of the former world champions, in the presence of a group of our country’s wrestling champions and champions in Tawfiq Jahan Bakht Hall.
This training session was attended by current and former national wrestlers and title holders such as Mehdi Mohammadi, Mohammad Ghazaei, Mohammad Ali Garai, Hossein Nouri, Mehdi Fallah, Reza Khedri, Milad Khosroudi, Mehdi Zodashena, Shirzad Beheshti Tala and Arsham Bahramizadeh.
The exercises were hosted by the renovated Tawfiq Jahanbakht Hall, while the wrestlers performed a variety of exercises, including wrestling, technical and tactical plans.
In this regard, Talib Nematpour said about setting up these exercises: “Fortunately, the first day of the exercises was well received.” So that both some people in the national team and talented young people participated in these exercises. We also tried to have technical programs as well as wrestling exercises on the agenda.
The former world wrestling champion also told the website of the Wrestling Federation about the facilities of Tawfiq Jahanbakht Wrestling House: “This hall was the oldest hall in the capital, the championship base and training ground for national wrestlers, which fortunately after a few years and after complete reconstruction by The federation has been witnessing the resumption of wrestling training in this hall for some time. Of course, there are some shortcomings that will be resolved over time. In my opinion, a good complex has been prepared in the center of the capital, and it is a pity that its facilities are not used.
In the end, Nematpour pointed to the absence of Farshad Alizadeh, another wrestling champion, as a coach in these exercises and added: Alizadeh was not present in our first training due to personal problems, but in any case, these exercises were held three days a week with the presence of some figures. The title and wrestling enthusiasts will be held under the auspices of the federation.
