Forming a national archive of authored plays in the theater complex
The head of the city theater group announced plans to form a national archive of authored plays in the library and document center of this group in the coming weeks.
Charso Press: According to the public relations of Shahr Theater, Seyyed Mohammad Javad Taheri, the head of Shahr Theater, announced the beginning of plans to create a national archive of plays authored by our country’s playwrights in the library and documentation center of this collection.
He said about some details of this project: Tehran City Theater, as the national symbol of the country’s theater, aims to honor the noble art of playwriting, to take measures to register and preserve authored plays in the library of this collection.
Taheri added: I hope that this action can provide effective and suitable conditions for collecting plays by Iranian playwrights and forming a “National Playwriting Archive” in the near future. In my opinion, such a process can create a reliable center for compiling and recording the works of Iranian playwrights, as well as a suitable place for theater activists, researchers and students of performing arts and other fields to refer and access.
The head of the city theater complex said about the other details of this research project: In the coming days, information will be provided through the public relations of the complex on how to send the plays and register them in the library and the performing arts documentation center.
