Fortification of the western side of the hill of Flak-A-Flak Castle

According to Aria Heritage report, quoting from the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Lorestan, Ata Hassanpour announced this news and said: The fortification operation on the western side of the Falak-Aflak Castle hill in Khorramabad is underway in order to protect this valuable artefact.

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of the province stated: This operation is carried out using traditional materials and stone in order to prevent the drift and collapse of the hill, protect the washing water and preserve the historical bed of the hill and the castle building.

Stating that 2 billion and 500 million rials have been allocated for the implementation of the Fortification of Falak-Aflak Fort, he added: The historical Falak-Aflak Fort is still exposed to natural disasters and it is necessary to speed up the implementation of the fortification plan to protect this national heritage.

Hasanpour stated: The process of strengthening the historical and valuable Flak Ala Flak Fort is still on the agenda and will enter a new phase if credit is secured.

It should be noted that this unique building belongs to the Sassanid period and is registered as number 883 in the list of national works of Iran.
