Foundations that were laid wrongly

The director of the movie “Private” on the sidelines of watching the documentary “Barzakhiha” about the first banned movie of the cinema after the revolution, said that part of the unfavorable situation of the Iranian cinema is caused by the wrong policies that the cultural directors of the sixties adopted and established.
Charso Press: Barzakhiha is the title of a documentary produced and directed by Aref Afshar, which deals with the cinema of the 60s and Iraj Qadri’s film Barzakhiha Zinbad Bad, as the first confiscated work of cinema after the revolution.
Mohammad Hossein Farahbakhsh said about this work: Although 40 years have passed since the release of the movie Barzakhi, the making of the documentary has revived the Barzakhi and history in a way, and it is worthy of praise for the documentary that has thought about this subject and narrated it.
He added: “This film is for us and for the future generations, and they will realize what a corrupt view there was in the management of cinema in the 60s, which today says that if it returns again, it will do the same actions, and this shows the corrupt view that It existed at that time.
Farahbakhsh said about his perception and evaluation of the documentary about the purgatory: My perception is that those who once opposed the flow of the people and made mistakes, today do the opposite and have forgotten that they once caused the misery of the people with their decisions. At that time, the person who said that the color of the shirt should be blue and black and used to make people’s foreheads, today says on satellite channels that a woman owns her own body and denies the existence of Imam Zaman (A.S.). He is the one who, against the law, pulled the movie Barzakhi from the screens in the 60s, but today he protests against the banning of movies in Iran, of course, banning movies is a bad thing, but in my opinion, he has no right to this opposition and has become a hypocrite. An example of a verse about those who believe in their tongues but not in their hearts. The sixties, which made people pessimistic about the revolution and even religion, today they say that we are right and we should come back to work. While they themselves founded these extremisms at that time, and unfortunately, they also founded it in such a way that no one could destroy it, and if someone wants to have such an intention, it will incur heavy costs, and the result is the situation that our society has fallen into. The
He pointed out: this situation in the cinema is one of the feedbacks of the 60s; Like a mortar that has many destructive shrapnel and unfortunately these shrapnel have reached the new generation. Our generation, which was young during the revolution, felt this atmosphere completely. I have personally felt such conditions with my skin, flesh and bones, and the Barzakhi documentary took me to that space, and I saw that my peers also got teary eyed while watching the film. The Barzakhi documentary had a great impact on me and showed the reality and the atrocities that the directors of the sixties have done to cinema, the revolution and the people, and it is unforgivable. If they repent, God knows that their repentance is a lie.
Barzakhiha documentary was produced in Royad Club and is a product of Oj Media Art Organization, which has applied to participate in the 16th International Cinema Truth Festival.
