From import to integrated allocation system; Why not untie the knot of the car industry?

Eqtesadonline – Parham Karimi; The knot of the car market and industry is getting shorter every day; Prices that do not expect to go down and policies that have not yet worked; Of course, it should be noted that the current situation in the automotive industry is the result of decades of wrong policy and one can not expect the situation to improve in a short time. However, disagreements between policymakers and car industry activists have escalated over the past few years. On the one hand, the Ministry of Silence believes that by integrating car allocation, it can reduce the existing rents and the car will reach the final consumer and help balance the market. On the other hand, a group of experts and, of course, car industry activists They believe that this policy is a continuation of the wrong grammatical view that results from the current situation.
Eqtesadonline, in an interview with Amir Hassan Kakai, an expert in the automotive industry and a member of the faculty of the university, examined issues that have been more prominent in the automotive industry for some time.
He first referred to the multiplicity in the industry, which recently appeared in the case of stopping the supply of cars in the commodity exchange, and said: “There is multiplicity in decisions in the automotive industry.” The government has replaced the market, and the point is that when you create a system without a market, no one else in that system has the right to pursue a free market. Exactly what happened in the commodity exchange and now we are witnessing the war of the centralized system with the free market.
“The problem is the contradictions that exist in the country’s policy philosophy,” Kakai told Eqtesadonline about the policy that leads to mandatory pricing and forms an integrated car allocation system. On the one hand, men talk about competition, that the system is based on the free market, and on the other hand, they generalize a very wrong process of centralized planning with orderly pricing to the whole car industry, and in a centralized system set by the government Pursue competition and the free market, and in the experience of any country that has moved in this direction, it has failed economically. Clearly, the way the government has acted in this debate is suppressing the market and prices, and as a result, the same suppression of prices is suppressing production. Comfort can not be lifted.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Silence claims that due to the gap between supply and demand, the supply of cars on the stock exchange will actually lead to an unbridled increase in the price of the car compared to the price offered by the company. Also, the possibility of the formation of a third price beyond both the producer price and the stock market price will be at the level of the car market.
In addition to mandatory pricing, the lotteries held in the last few years, according to Amir Hassan Kakai, are another reason for the distribution of rents and the destruction of production; He says in this regard: Thousands of billions of tomans of rent were distributed among the people during this period and this issue led to the imbalance of the economy and money went from one place to another. I wish only rent was distributed, the industry was dragged to black soil !!
In this regard, and in explaining the suppression of prices and production, he said that one of the drawbacks of the new system is the presence of private automakers in it and said: the government only hits production. Private car companies were doing quality production and had nothing to do with anyone.
“Soon, they want to liberalize imports at any cost and use the currencies they do not have,” he said. It is interesting that they themselves know that with the current system, the price of car imports is still not low, and they say that the government should pass its tariffs in order to reduce the price of cars. Well, if they are going to do that, they will not tax the car industry at all. This is true? That is why I say that there is contradiction. The Minister of Economy talks about tax economics, and on the other hand, such statements are made. There were contradictions before, but now we see real examples of it in people’s lives.
“With temporary imports, people are losing their heads,” Kakai said. In the short term, we have imports that do not reach you and me, and the main decile of society does not use these imports, and then the import stops for a while.
