From this Saturday, it is possible to buy currency in the form of banknotes
On December 7 of this year, the Central Bank announced the increase of the limit of currency sales to commercial card holders up to 3 times. According to the announcement of this bank, in order to cover expenses related to business affairs, the ceiling for selling currency in the form of bills to people with a valid business card was increased from 2,000 euros to 6,000 euros.
The decision was communicated to the National Banks of Iran, Sepah, Tejarat, Mellat and Export.
Mostafa Qamariwafa, the spokesperson of the Central Bank, while announcing this news, said: “Businessmen (natural persons) can, from tomorrow, December 12, 1401, by presenting a “business card valid for at least one month” and a “certificate of commercial activity history from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade, for at least a period of one year” to the managers of the selected branches of the mentioned banks, to purchase currency in the form of banknotes up to 6 thousand euros or its equivalent in other currencies per year at an agreed rate.
According to the spokesperson of the central bank, this possibility will be available for authorized exchanges as soon as the possibility of inquiring about commercial cards and selling banknotes under the mentioned heading is made available.
