Galaxy S23 can use the charger to provide direct power

A week after the introduction of the phones Galaxy S23 And S23 UltraNow, a new report has surfaced about a new feature of Samsung flagships that could be significant for mobile gaming fans. According to the report, the Galaxy S23 series phones have a feature that makes the device’s charger provide direct power to the device instead of charging the battery, which helps reduce heat.
according to 9to5google reports, a new feature on the Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones allows users to stop “USB power distribution”. The option for this feature can be found in the Samsung Game Booster menu and the YouTube channel NL Tech who discovered this feature for the first time, explains about it:
“To prevent the phone from heating up, stop charging when USB Power Delivery is enabled and the battery is more than 20% charged.”
Better heat management with new Galaxy S23 feature
The report goes on to explain that this feature allows the connected charger to bypass the battery and the Galaxy S23 uses direct power from the charger to do its work. This reduces the heat of the device and is more efficient for the charger. As explained, enabling this option reduces power consumption during gaming from 17 watts to 6 watts. It also seems to work on all USB PD chargers.
The new feature of Samsung flagships may be very useful for gamers who want to get the highest performance from their games; Because batteries get very hot when charging and bypassing it leads to better heat management.
However, it should be noted that this feature has not been made available to all users and it is not clear exactly for whom Samsung has provided it. Samsung hasn’t officially mentioned this feature so far, so it’s unclear if it plans to make it available to other phones.
