Ganjnameh, a treasure in the heart of Alvand

These walks and the pleasant weather take you to the heart of Alvand and the maze of Ganjnameh road, where it is not more than five kilometers away from Hamedan and more spectacular than Ganjnameh itself is its clear road, the combination of lush trees and high mountains is so attractive. Which has doubled the pleasure of the route.

Those who choose Hamedan for travel, must know that one of the spectacular attractions of Hamedan is Ganjnameh, which has a special beauty both day and night. Naturally formed.

A fun and pleasant area in the heart of Alvand Mountain, where you can experience the joy of a refreshing day with a short distance from Hamedan, is nowhere but the beautiful area of Ganjnameh.

The inscriptions or inscriptions of Ganjnameh are inscriptions from the time of Darius and Xerxes that are engraved on the heart of one of the rocks of Alvand Mountain and at the end of Abbasabad valley, two inscriptions that were engraved together by the Achaemenid kings.

After passing through the inscriptions, now it is Ganjnameh waterfall that can be seen from afar and is spectacular. This waterfall flows 12 meters from the slope of Alvand Sarafraz and passes through Abbasabad and Ganjnameh valleys. The depth of the soul is affected.

In winter, with the freezing of the waterfall, there is an opportunity for ice climbers to reach the slopes of Alvand from the white ice, and of course, watching these scenes is not without grace.

But by crossing the Ganjnameh area, one can also see the mountain road that connects Hamedan to Tuyserkan, the same caravan route that existed in the Achaemenid era and that Darius and Xerxes crossed with their troops and companions.

Since this route was one of the main and ancient royal routes in the Achaemenid era, which connected Hegmataneh (Achaemenid summer capital) to Babylon in the center of Mesopotamia from the slopes of Alvand, it was considered as one of the most prosperous and safe routes in ancient times. Dynasties remind passers-by of their beliefs and ideas and the greatness of their ancestors by creating petroglyphs.

This beautiful area is very spectacular in spring.
