Ganjzadeh: I hope the second meeting of the Athletes Commission will be held without margins



Sajjad Ganjzadeh He made the remarks in an interview with IRNA on Saturday and said: “The second meeting of the Athletes ‘Commission will be held tomorrow, Sunday, in which 6 representatives will be introduced in the National Assembly’s election assembly and athletes’ representatives in the executive board.”

The head of the Athletes Commission also said that he hopes that this election will be held in the presence of all members and without margins.

Ganjzadeh added: The order of the second meeting of the commission is dedicated only to the elections of these 6 people.

The first meeting of the commission was held last week, in which Ganjzadeh, the gold medalist of the 2020 Olympics, and Najmeh Khidmati, the lady Olympic shooter, were elected as the chairman and vice-chairman of the commission.

He also explained about the future plans of this commission: This commission pursues its activities with the aim of following up on the demands of athletes, and in the next meetings, the plans and proposals of the members are presented and after review and consensus, the opinion is sent to the executive board.

The Tokyo Olympic gold medalist in karate said: “In the second round of the commission’s activity, what is within the power and authority of the commission members is to take good steps for athletes.”

The second round of the National Olympic Committee Athletes Commission elections was held on November 13 with the participation of 15 athletes in the commission. Appointed Taekwondo as members of the commission, citing paragraph (1-2) of Article 4 of the Bylaws.

Also, considering that Hadi Saei is a member of the Athletics Commission of the Asian Olympic Council, he will remain a member of the Athletes Commission, and accordingly, the new commission has 20 members.

Based on this, Sajjad Ganjzadeh, Hassan Yazdani, Zabihollah Pourshib, Ehsan Haddadi, Behdad Salimi, Amin Budaghi, Shahrbanoo Mansoorian, Mojtaba Abedini, Hadi Saei, Zahra Nemati, Farzaneh Fassihi, Hamideh Abbasali, Mostafa Nodehi, Najm Reza Garmi, Shemshaki, Mohammad Bidarian, Mohammad Bagheri Motamed, Neda Shahsavari and Soraya Aghaei; There are 20 members of the National Olympic Committee Athletes Commission.

The first meeting of the commission was held with the presence of 17 members and Hassan Yazdani and Mohammad Reza Garaei, the elected representatives of the wrestling, did not attend the first meeting of the commission with a statement from the wrestling federation.

The Wrestling Federation also protested the election of the Engineered Athletes Commission.
