Gary Oldman retires / Farewell to acting with Jackson Lamb



The famous British actor announced that he will retire after the series “Slow Horses”.

Charso Press: While Gary Oldman previously said he was considering retirement, he now says he’s ready and that “Slow Horses” will be his last acting job.

The actor of the films “The Dark Knight” and “Harry Potter” has said in a new interview with “Sunday Times” that after finishing the series “Slow Horses” for Apple TV Plus, he wants to spend his time outside the film industry. This spy series has also received an order for the third season.

Oldman, who won an Oscar for “The Bitterest Hour,” said: “I’ve had an enviable acting career, but acting declines and I’m interested in other things besides this.”

He added: When you are young, you think that you can achieve everything and for example read that book, do such and such thing, but years pass. I will be 65 years old next year and 70 years old is close. I don’t want to be active when I’m 80. I will be very happy and honored to retire from acting as Jackson Lamb from Slow Horse.

Oldman previously said that playing the role of “Slow Horses” character, Jackson Lamb, is a treasure for him, and this character is an iconic character, and if he is going to say goodbye at the top, it should be after this series.
