According to Tejarat News, Rezaei, a member of the National Security Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, stated that gasoline will not become more expensive this year and announced that it will closely monitor the taxation of 2 million vacant houses belonging to rich people in the country.
Bazar wrote that Ebrahim Rezaei, on the sidelines of a meeting with members of the media, referred to the economic and livelihood issues of the people and said: “Currently, the living conditions of the people are not good and the high prices have caused concern among the people.”
He added: “In the plan to justify subsidies, only four items of goods were supposed to become more expensive, but now many goods are included and the representatives are following up on the issue.”
The representative of Dashtestan in the Islamic Consultative Assembly noted: “We have called the ministers related to the debate to the assembly and we expect decisions to be made that the people are satisfied with.”
Regarding the tax on vacant houses, Rezaei said: “We have two million vacant houses belonging to rich people in the country, and more monitoring should be done so that they are not abused.”
He also reminded about the increase in gasoline prices: “We do not have any increase in gasoline prices this year and it has not been raised at all in the parliament and the government.”
The representative of Dashtestan called for speeding up the water basin projects in Dashtestan and added: “Due to the unbearable heat of this summer, people should not feel the lack of water and all officials are obliged to work.”
