“Gods” play will be read / Frida Kahlo and Sylvia Plath meeting



The play “Gods” written by Venezuelan writer Nestor Cabairo will be read under the direction of Bahram Sarvarinejad.

Charso Press: The play “Gods” written by Venezuelan writer Nestor Cabairo, translated by Shahab Naderi Moghadam and directed by Bahram Sarvarinejad, will be read on Wednesday, August 5.

Bahram Sarvarinejad, director and actor, said about the performance of the play reading “Alahagan”: This play reading will be held in the repertoire program of play reading of Goye Art House. The play “Goddess” written by Nestor Cabairo is an imaginary and surrealistic meeting between two prominent female figures in the history of literature and art of the 20th century; Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and American poet Sylvia Plath.

He continued: Iranian visual artists and people of literature are very familiar with these two characters. Among Iranian artists, Kahlo is famous for her boldness in paintings and surrealist spaces, and Sylvia Plath, on the one hand, wrote poems full of emotions and honesty, which expressed her life full of suffering and depression, and on the other hand, the wife of the great American poet Ted Hughes. After his death, he created many adventures.

Sarwarinejad added: Marzieh Sadraei and Golchere Zand play roles in the reading of the play “Alahagan”, and Saeed Islamzadeh is also the narrator of the play. We will read this play on Wednesday, August 5 at 19:00. We are trying to perform and read a new and unperformed play with the presence of actors every Wednesday at the book store of Hanar Goyeh House.
