According to Tejarat News, Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, told reporters in response to a question about the conditions for registering single people, both men and women, in the government plan to increase housing production: According to the current law, high single women 35 years old and female-headed households can register today in the housing production leap plan.
He continued: “We had an agreement with the government and we agreed on this with the president, and it is supposed that this issue will be definitely approved next Monday, so that single men can also register in the housing production leap plan.”
The Minister of Roads and Urban Development added: “According to the agreement, single people can start registering after the approval meeting on Monday next week, but the condition for the delivery of housing is marriage.” This means that although single people can register in this scheme, they must be married at the time of delivery.
In response to another question about whether this issue includes women under the age of 35, Ghasemi said: “In Iran, men are responsible for providing housing, and this registration for single people applies to men.”
He emphasized: “The plan to increase housing production with a facility of 450 million Tomans is a very good opportunity for people to use it to become homeowners, and the very important point is that the repayment of this facility is floating for 20 years based on household income.” I have considered.
