Following the new wave of filtering in Iran, after Instagram and WhatsApp, now Google Play and App Store have also been filtered in Iran.
Following the recent unrest in the country and following severe restrictions and outages in the country’s Internet, now two application stores, Google Play and App Store, have been filtered in Iran. This is despite the fact that before, users’ access to Instagram and WhatsApp was also blocked, and it is not yet clear how long these restrictions will continue.
According to the investigations carried out by Gadget News and the reports of users from all over Iran, access to Google Play and App Store has been blocked for hours and Iranian users are unable to download applications from these two major Android and iOS stores in Iran.
How long does the Google Play and App Store filter last?
As usual with the recent internet restrictions in the country, no official official has reacted to this issue and it is not clear how long the filtering of these two foreign stores will continue.
On the other hand, no one knows whether these restrictions will be permanent or temporarily applied.
The recent internet restrictions in the country have caused a lot of damage to online businesses and some businesses such as Instagram stores have been officially stopped. We hope that the authorities, taking into account the importance of these businesses in people’s lives, will take the necessary measures as soon as possible to normalize the conditions of the Internet and remove the restrictions that have arisen.
