Gradual implementation of toll price increase in 23 freeways of the country

According to Fars news agency, Abbas Bayat Sarmadi stated: The toll price of freeways has increased by 25% since the beginning of June this year. The manner of announcing the implementation of the 25% increase in freeway tolls has been done gradually, for example, Tehran-North Freeway has not yet included the application of new toll rates.

He added: In general, 23 freeways of the country will include a 25% increase in toll prices this year, and in the first phase, from the beginning of June, most of the freeways will be subject to new rate changes.

The General Director of Operation and Maintenance of Freeways of the country stated: The remaining freeways will also include a 25% increase in tolls until the end of June.

There are a total of 28 freeways in operation in the country, of which 5 freeways are owned by the government and include Tehran-Qom, Tehran-Saveh, Karaj-Qazvin, Qazvin-Zanjan and Bandar Abbas-Shahid Rajaei freeways.
