According to Mehr News Agency, “Rafael Grossi”, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, announced in a Twitter message on Wednesday that the agency and Iran have agreed to install surveillance cameras in the Tessa complex in Karaj.

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency continued: “This is a very important issue for verification under the nuclear agreement, and work will continue to address other important issues.”

Earlier, the American Wall Street Journal quoted a senior Iranian and Western official as claiming that Tehran and the International Atomic Energy Agency had agreed to install surveillance cameras at the centrifuge facility in Karaj.

According to Mehr News Agency, on the last day of the conference “Meeting of the Heads of Representations of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Neighboring Countries”, which was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Ministers, Amir Abdullahian said in a speech: Dignified talks from the beginning It is a job and the same approach is still followed with seriousness and hard work of the negotiating team.

“Last night we reached a good agreement with the IAEA, which could address some of the alleged concerns,” he said, referring to the interaction between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency and the fact that the IAEA has at times used technical tools to politically influence the Vienna talks. It is worth mentioning that following the sabotage action against the Tessa complex in Karaj, Tehran had announced that it would allow the service or replacement of the cameras only after the technical and security inspections of the responsible institutions. Accordingly, Iranian investigations have now been carried out and therefore the cameras have been allowed to be replaced; But Tehran’s current permission does not mean sending pictures.
