Guaranteed purchase of livestock from farmers begins this week

According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, Mohsen Salami announced in the news network program that the guaranteed purchase of livestock has started in the country and will first be purchased in the three provinces of Khorasan Razavi, North and South.

The CEO of the Livestock Affairs Support Company announced: Purchase instructions will be sent to all provinces of the country and will be purchased at the prices set.

Regarding the purchase price, he said: “The committees that are composed of the governor and other relevant officials in each province will determine these prices.”

In response to why no action has been taken in this regard despite the promise of the Ministry of Jihad for Agriculture to lift the ban on the export of live cattle, Salam said: the relevant deputies should respond in this regard.

According to Fars, the CEO of the Light Livestock Union, referring to the existence of about six million surplus light livestock in the country, has announced: “Unfortunately, the export of livestock from the country is still stopped.”

Afshin Sadr Dadras said: “According to what was heard, on June 15, 1401, the Strategic Products Pricing Council agreed to export live cattle, but this issue was never communicated and implemented.”
