Habib Valinejad: If it were not for Avini, I would not have accepted the risk of documenting

According to Fars News Agency, the commemoration ceremony of “Habibollah Valinejad” was held on the evening of Sunday, December 12, on the fourth day of the 15th International Reality Film Festival.

The event was hosted by Hamed Shakibania, Deputy Director of the Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema. And he said: Today we have gathered to protect one of those children of the mosque; Children of Javadalameh Mosque, 30 meters from Tehran.

“Mohammad Hamidi Moghaddam”, the secretary of the 15th Haghighat Film Festival, said at the beginning of the ceremony about the selection of Habibollah Valinejad to hold a commemoration ceremony in this period of the Haghighat Film Festival: “I am honored by this ceremony; These celebrations are one of the good parts of every festival that the secretary’s share becomes

“I did not have the honor of accompanying and cooperating with Habibullah Valinejad, but sometimes many things are formed outside these rules; And a feeling arises to the extent of exchanging a look, “he said.” In those looks, I felt the purity and essence of art, knowledge and humanity wave in them. There are people who do not see each other, do not talk to each other, but follow each other’s fields of work and they are respected, and that is why we saw Mr. Valinejad’s good work.

The secretary of the 15th Haghighat Film Festival, referring to the name of Javadalaimeh Mosque and the magazine of Surah Bachehayeh of the mosque mentioned by Hamed Shakibania, said: “Besides, the collection of Fatah narrations is valuable for all of us;” The story of Fatah is truly unique in the history of documentary and the field of sacred defense, which has been influential in documenting the world today. In my opinion, the narrative of Fatah and the intellectual field of Martyr Avini will be analyzed in the following years. But I am happy that we are now holding a night to honor a man who is from that decade, and we can see in him the sincere look, knowledge and self-sacrifice in the field of thinking and communication with cinema.

Hamidi Moghaddam continued: “Sometimes titles become very important in cinema, but this issue is not in Mr. Valinejad and it does not matter to him where the list of names is, and this is the greatest knowledge that exists in him.” We are proud to admire tonight a man who, in addition to thinking, knowledge and humanity, has done a great job in our documentary field.

Emphasizing that Valinejad has always been a supporter and helper of the youth, he said: “What our documentary cinema and our youth need very much is to be a supporter so that the youth can gain self-confidence.”

The secretary of the 15th Haghighat Film Festival, pointing out that Habibollah Valinejad was effective in promoting the country’s cinema during his administration, said: “Some people always like to be headline one and page one, but he was not like that.” We should be grateful to such a person who unequivocally likes to narrate the story of the martyrs and carry the medal of this narration of the martyrs on his chest; We are also happy that Haghighat Film Festival is experiencing such a night and we are proud of it.

“Ardalan Ashouri”, one of the colleagues of Valinejad in the narration of Fatah, also came on stage during the ceremony and said: I will start with the name of God who has connected hearts to hearts. Twenty-one years have passed since our friendship, but it is difficult to talk about Mr. Habib; He has fathered me and a generation of storytellers and documentary filmmakers, holding our hands and enduring our stunts to make our work work, and has sometimes gone so far as to upset his family.

Ashuri continued: “But we soon forgot about him and attributed the characteristics of our work and success to our talent without thinking that he was the one who helped us;” However, he stood by us wherever we needed help. In a world where profit and capital have overshadowed all relations; He was oblivious to money and sometimes even invested in films out of his own pocket.

“He always behaved in such a way that you forgot a man with years of experience was sitting next to you,” he said. Everything for him is like the first job and he works with such enthusiasm that it makes his colleagues jealous.

Ashouri reminded at the end of his speech: Habib Agha in this current sensitive situation that seems to be not over; The wheel of Iranian cinema is spinning with you and others like you. May God keep you for us and our cinema.

“Mahdi Shammohammadi” was another speaker at the ceremony, who said: “In the early 1980s, many young people who read cinema began to narrate the story of Fatah;” Where they had occasionally become hangouts. Many of us were fascinated by the works of Mr. Morteza, but this was not the only reason we went there. There was a man taking us; He cared about the raw and inexperienced buds. Mr. Habib gave us a field. He read our plans and provided the conditions for us to make our films. He placed us next to the elders and encouraged us to introduce innovation and creativity in the new generation of Fatah narrative works.

This documentary filmmaker stated that “Mr. Habib stood on everything and on our feet; “From our different perspectives on the war, to our appearance.” He continued: he always stood in the shadows and was not a titillator and such things. Were it not for Mr. Habib’s support, perhaps fiction and especially documentary cinema would not have known the names of some of the most successful young people in today’s cinema; People like Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian, Amir Banan, Habib Khazaeifar, Morteza Payashenas and …

In the end, Shamhamdi noted: “Despite all this, we have seen only a corner of his efforts.” Mr. Habib, be alive.

* If you want to make a documentary, you have to rock yourself!

“Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian” continued in a video message about Habib Valinejad: “I saw him in 1981 when I was a film student.” We went to Fatah with a group, we saw him who did not like us at first and said that if you want to make a documentary, you have to put a stone in your stomach. He helped me a lot later, but this sentence remained in my mind.

The director continued: “When I entered the world of feature films, I saw that he continues to go on as a supporter and convincer all these years; He has supported many filmmakers and he is really stoned. In those years, he solved the problems of filmmakers with satisfaction, and in my opinion, every filmmaker to grow; He needs someone like him.

Mahdavian expressed hope that future filmmakers would also have the chance to have a convincing and wise man like him by their side to continue on the path and said: “I hope they live a long and healthy life and continue to be present in Iranian cinema and their good influence.” To pass.

“Ali Fallahpour” also came on stage and said: “Apart from all the things that Habib Agha did, he also had another position in his character and that position was that of Hazrat Zahra’s servant.” He has a delegation called Fatemeh Al-Zahra, where many people learned sincere service from this honorable man.

“Ehsan Mohammad Hassani,” the director of the Ouj Institute, went on to mention that “it is very difficult for this despicable person to talk about a man who is very clear, pure and dear and from the generation of martyrs.” He said: One day Hajj Qasim called and said that I am the house of Martyr Zainuddin and bring Habibullah Valinejad and Ahmad Dehghan with you here. We also happened to be at the house of this martyr. Hajj Qasim turned to Hajj Habib and said, “I want you to repeat the beautiful work that you did for Martyr Motusalian and Martyr Bagheri for Martyr Zainuddin; Because he is very oppressed.

Mohammad Hassani continued: Now Hajj Qasim has been gone from us for two years and today he is no more. In my opinion, that unfinished work and that advice and will of Haj Qasim still weighs heavily on Haj Habib. Maybe after the martyrdom of Zine al-Din, Haj Habib with this purity and honesty should do a good deed for Haj Qasim himself.

After these talks, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Habibullah Valinejad by the Ouj Cultural Institute.

* The best films owe more to a good producer than a good director!

After that, “Morteza Razzaq Karimi”, the deputy director of the Center for the Development of Documentary and Experimental Cinema, came on stage and said: “The commemoration of Habibollah Valinejad is a celebration of values.” If we want to see the continuation of the great people who played an important role in the fate of this country after the revolution, we come to a person like Mr. Valinejad. Because the impact that his cultural management has had in all areas is exemplary.

Razzaq Karimi continued by mentioning a memory: “About ten, eleven years ago, we came to serve Mr. Valinejad with a brother who is not in the cinema, and he recalled the memories of the holy defense, especially Martyr Bagheri.” My brother asked, “Is there anyone now who is similar to that martyr?” He immediately said yes a lot; Especially Haj Qasem Soleimani.

In the end, he pointed out: we should think more about Mr. Valinejad’s personality as a model and use him more in the field of cultural and artistic management.

Then, a clip of the speeches of “Mohammad Ali Farsi” (documentary filmmaker) was broadcast, in which he said: The best films are due to a good producer rather than a good director. Mr. Valinejad has produced the best documentaries in the country in the field of documentaries.

Farsi went on to cite examples of large and costly productions for the production of documentaries on the Fatah narrative produced by Habibullah Valinejad, saying: To send.

He reminded: “It is very interesting that Mr. Valinejad has worked for many years in television and the field of art and narration of Fatah and the Ouj Institute, but no one has insured him so far.” Now that he has severe liver problems, none of the cultural directors have taken the step of at least hiring him somewhere to have insurance for his future. We do not know of any TV executives who are empty-handed when they come out of the TV like him. I wish that now that Mr. Khazaei has become the deputy director of cinema and the rest of the directors, they will make an effort and at least solve his insurance problem.

Farsi also clarified: like Habibollah Valinejad in cinema, only Mr. Valinejad himself.

“Morteza Shabani”, the director of the Haghighat Documentary Center, also said at the ceremony: “In the seventies, when I saw Mr. Habib in the story of Fatah, the idea was that adults should have a father; But Mr. Habib, who was our age, was like an older brother and father to many of us. Without him, none of the big projects would have worked.

“There was nothing that Habibullah Valinejad did not do behind the scenes to help work,” Sha’bani said. The works became lasting.

In the end, he stated: Our documentary cinema owes itself to Mr. Habib.

Following was a clip of Habibullah Valinejad’s speech in which he said: “Thirty meters is memorable because of a mosque, Javadalaimeh, and I was born in the same area.” In the pre-revolutionary period, theater was attractive to me. I will never forget Mr. Takhtkashian because he guided me. I went to art in a course. Most of the kids in the seminary were our comrades and teachers. We also went to the front and spontaneously made documentaries there. This process of documenting in the field of art continued. I even remember going to Baku with Mr. Avini during a period. In the documentaries that we prepared in the narration of Fatah, one of the constant points was our interviews with Haj Qasim.

Referring to the documentary “The Last Days of Winter”, he called it a tribute to the martyrs and said: “We promised the children of the martyrs who were with each other at that time, because we would either stay or be martyred;” Our promise was that if we stayed, we would do something for the country, and this was a documentary about my religion.

Then he himself came on stage and said: “We did everything but we did not talk, so it is difficult for me to talk.” Thank you for each and every one of your speeches that described this despicable person. I do not deserve this talk. We are trained in the mosque school. Here, too, I want to tell you, as a documentary filmmaker, not to get bored. I was the smallest member of this section and maybe I was able to carry a load. Maybe if that course is retold it can be instructive.

Valinejad continued: I learned from the mosque. We had good teachers there. I entered the library of the mosque before the revolution and there we learned monotheism, ethics and forgiveness. We had storytelling and theater classes there, and what we learned there worked. Mr. Behzad was our teacher who spent hours with us and we had learned to look for work. Maybe we did some of what we learned.

“He taught us to try to keep our heads down as we get older,” he said. All his teachings have been instructive to me so far. He is a dear and kind teacher to me. Everything I learned and did was the result of his teachings. We learned that good things happen when we are empathetic and together.

The producer and documentary filmmaker, emphasizing that he learned this style of working from the mosque, said: “If it were not for the trust of Martyr Avini, perhaps I would never have taken the risk.” But he stood by my work, saw my struggles and efforts.

Valinejad continued: “In the world of documentary, we did not just make war work, we made some documentaries for the officials.” We learned to work in groups. Honestly, it was a good period for me during my time on TV. TV executives supported us; As Mr. Avini supported us.

Emphasizing that if we pathologize our management methods today, we will succeed, he stated: Mr. Mohammad Hassani also trusted us at the peak and I was the only member of that cinema group.

Referring to this commemoration ceremony, Valinejad also noted: I wrote down Azar 2100 as another birthday for myself because it made my job difficult.

“Although I make films and series, I have not given up on documentaries,” he said. Because the documentary gives people hope, it brings hope. I hope the documentary gets out of this situation and good things happen to it.

At the end of his speech, Valinejad recalled the patience of his family and said: “The truth is that I owe everything I had and still have to my wife, and now I have come here on stage to represent her.”

At the end of the ceremony, Habib Valinejad’s forty years of efforts were honored with a turquoise badge of the Haghighat Film Festival and a plaque of appreciation.
