Also on Saturday, large numbers of Iraqi protesters took to the streets in protest of the election results and security forces clashed with peaceful demonstrators and set fire to their sit-in tents near the entrances to the Green Zone.
It was then that conflicting reports were published about the attack on the Iraqi Prime Minister’s house, and images of the attack were published, with some parties blaming political parties protesting the election results for the suspected attack. This was accompanied by a strong condemnation of these parties and they asked the relevant agencies to conduct a serious and transparent investigation into this issue and the factors behind it, and they spoke about the hypothesis of a third party to disrupt the situation and create sedition behind the incident.
