“Half-burning summer” in Tehran



The “Half-Burning Summer” theater, directed by Mohammad Hossein Khidmatparast and starring Saba Mohammadi and Reza Gorji, took the stage at the “Da” theater.

Theater News Base: “Half-Burning Summer”, based on a play by Seyyed Ali Boruhan, is a one-act narrative of a waxy girl who meets a young man on a summer afternoon, and this acquaintance provides the ground for the imagination and social development of this low-income child.

Contrary to the bitter narrative based on the life of a poor little girl who provides for her disabled father, the atmosphere of the play is somewhat cheerful and gentle with dialogues full of hope and acting, as well as the use of warm colors in the setting. Sometimes he puts a smile on the spectators’ lips.

In this play, Mohammad Hossein Khidmatparast has used the role of young actor Saba Mohammadi alongside Reza Gorji. The theater is 30 minutes into its second week of performance and is currently staged at the Da Theater.
