Has the duty of foreign cars left in the customs been determined? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, the status of about 2,400 foreign cars left at the customs is still unclear, and while some of them are being pursued by judicial authorities, there has been talk of selling another number of these cars to the free zones of Kish and Qeshm for some time.
According to Isna, on the other hand, the customs office has announced the assignment of more than a thousand seized cars in the coming days.
In this regard, Abdul Majeed Ejtihadi, CEO of the Organization for Collection and Sale of Possessed Property, said, referring to the state of imported cars: these cars are divided into two categories.
There are a category of smuggled cars that require a definitive decision from the judicial authority to be issued to the investigating authority or an order to sell them. The cars are related to the case of registering the order of cars in Tehran Revolutionary Court.
Orders have been issued, the minister will inform when preparations are made.
He continued: The other category is abandoned cars, whose status is being reviewed by the government.
If the government approves, these cars will be sold to the free zones of Kish and Qeshm. This issue is also requested by the Secretariat of Free Zones.

Positively, the entry for this type of cars follows technical destruction and the engines of these cars will be provided to the engineering and technical faculties of the country to use the existing technologies so that students can use them in areas such as reverse engineering.
According to the report, the imported cars, which had been warehoused for years before the import ban and as a result of the one-time decision to ban, remained undecided at customs. In this regard, more than 12,000 cars were deposited in the customs, and finally, with several approvals and time extensions, a large number of them were cleared from January 1397 to September 1399, but another part was not cleared for various reasons and has been in warehouses for a long time. .
