Hawaii shakes America – IRNA

The first quake, measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale, struck 17 miles from Nalihu, and the second, measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale, shook the region about 20 minutes later, according to the US Geological Survey.
The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued.
According to the website of the US Seismological Center, after the 6.2 magnitude earthquake, several aftershocks with magnitudes of 4.3 to 2.9 Richter were recorded in this region.
According to the center, no tsunami alert was issued.
No casualties or damage were reported on the island. Local Hawaiian media reported that residents of the island felt the quake as far as the Oahu region.
