Heavy legal battle between Elon Musk and Twitter: Dorsey should hand over the documents of the 44 billion dollar social network

According to the media reporter of Fars News Agency, quoted by EuronewsElon Musk’s lawyers’ team requested Jack Dorsey, the former owner of Twitter, to hand over all the documents related to the transaction of this 44 billion dollar social network. In this request, Dorsey is asked to hand over the signed documents of the deal, as well as all the information about fake users and how to calculate active Twitter users to Musk. The Twitter transfer agreement was signed by the two in April this year.

According to the request received by Jack Dorsey, he must submit all the documents to Elon Musk from the beginning of January 2019. He stepped down as CEO of Twitter in November last year.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, unilaterally canceled his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter in early July. But one of the terms of termination of this contract is the payment of 1 billion dollars from the violating party to the other party.

Musk believes that Twitter has lied about the ratio of automated accounts and spam to real active users on its platform and that the social network is committing fraud by increasing the number of accounts. But Twitter says that only 5% of the accounts of this social network are controlled by bots.

As soon as Elon Musk unilaterally terminated the contract, Twitter started a lawsuit to reinstate him as the CEO, and Elon Musk countersued Twitter and asked the court to release him from this contract and order Twitter to pay compensation.

The lawyers of the parties have been waging a heavy legal battle for weeks by sending various subpoenas and requesting various court appointments to present documents.
