“Hero” was nominated for a Golden Globe Award



“Hero” was selected as one of the five nominees for the Best Foreign Language (Non-English Language) Golden Globe Awards 2022 on behalf of Iranian cinema.

Theater News Base: The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the list of nominees for the 79th Golden Globe Awards, and Iranian cinema with the film “Hero” written and directed by Asghar Farhadi was among the final 5 nominees for the best foreign (non-English language) category.

This is the fourth time that Asghar Farhadi has been nominated for a Globe Award. For the first time, he won the award for the best foreign film of the year with his film “Separation” in 2011, and then in 2013 and 2016, he was nominated for this award with his films “Past” and “Seller”, respectively. .

“Hero” starring Amir Jadidi, Mohsen Tanabandeh, ‌ Fereshteh Sadr Arfaei, Sahar Goldoust and Sarina Farhadi, had its first screening in the competition section of the 74th Cannes Film Festival this year and finally won the Grand Jury Prize. It became a cinematic event. The film also won Best Director at the Asia-Pacific Awards and won two International Film Awards and Best Original Screenplay at the annual NBR Awards.

The awards ceremony of the 79th Golden Globe Film and Television Awards will be held on January 9, 2022.
