According to the economic correspondent of Fars News Agency, considering the importance of controlling gas consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors, the National Gas Company in the 13th government took measures such as daily inspection of 4000 thousand government offices to control consumption, 50% fine on gas bills of high-consumption government offices. Tariffs on gas prices in the domestic sector, focusing on fines for high-consumption, put the implementation and completion of plans to increase the efficiency of motorhomes, etc. on the agenda.

In this regard, the Minister of Oil, Javad Oji, today on his Twitter page, referring to the unprecedented increase in gas consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors, said:”In the last 24 hours, a historic record of 692 million cubic meters of gas was recorded in the domestic, commercial and non-major sectors. “Although, thanks to God Almighty and the efforts of the employees of the oil industry, the gas network is stable, but the continuation of these conditions requires the cooperation of our dear compatriots and consumption management.”

Previously, the record for gas consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors was 662 million cubic meters on Wednesday last week.

* Only four provinces comply with the permitted per capita domestic gas consumption

The National Gas Company, by publishing a daily color chart, recommends people to deviate from per capita consumption in different provinces to save and use gas efficiently at home (Figure 1).

In Figure 1, in accordance with the climatic conditions of the country, a different per capita consumption is determined for each province, and then based on that, the amount of deviation from this per capita is announced in the form of a separate color scheme.

According to the picture, only the home sector of the four provinces of Khuzestan, Bushehr, Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchestan follow the pattern of optimal consumption, and the rest of the provinces, considering their climatic conditions, are still in the category of high consumption.

Inviting people to follow the pattern of gas consumption while the National Gas Company has strict and strict monitoring of optimal gas consumption in government offices, and so far about 1,900 high-consumption government offices have been cut off from gas (Figure 2).

Experts from the National Gas Company believe that if people observe the comfort temperature between 18 and 21 degrees in accordance with international standards, there will be no problem in supplying gas to industries and power plants.

According to forecasts, there will be cold weather by the end of this week, and there is still the possibility of breaking the record for gas consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors.
