Among the domestic drama series produced in the years after the Islamic Revolution, historical-religious series have always been favored and noticed by the national media audiences inside and outside the borders of the country, especially among Islamic countries.
Ali Karbalai Hosseini, Director of International Media of Sima’s deputy, recently announced in an interview the transfer of the right to broadcast series to foreign networks in neighboring countries and other parts of the world and said: Historical and religious series are still at the top of the list of television and digital broadcast rights; So that the series “Youssef the Prophet (pbuh), “Angels Men” and “Holy Mary (pbuh)” are among the most popular media products demanded by various foreign networks.
Received awards with 3 works in international festivals
He also announced the presence of the national media in international festivals and added: “Last year, we managed to accept 12 works of the national media in international festivals with specialized follow-up, and also three documentaries “Persepolis-Chicago”, “Nomad Girl” and “He Roman” also won awards in prestigious foreign festivals. This year, Persepolis-Chicago won another international award.
45 countries have been customers of national media products so far
Saying that more than 45 countries have been customers of national media products, Asia-Pacific, Turkey and West Asia and then Europe are among the main customers of TV and radio products and clarified: the most successful works sold to foreign networks have been animations, serials in religious, social and historical genres, movies and documentaries.
Karbalai listed the joint production with other countries as one of the serious and emphasized strategies in the transformational period of broadcasting and announced that plans from China, Pakistan, etc. to produce a joint product are under consideration.

He considered the familiarity of different countries with broadcasting products and having buyers of these works as a sign of the deep understanding and familiarity of national media producers with global issues and stated: Even now, projects such as the special A series of Salman Farsi or Hazrat Musa (PBUH), which are being produced at the global level, have aroused the attention and curiosity of international activists in this field, and they are following the status of production or how to buy the right to broadcast it.
According to Fars, the series “Salman Farsi” written and directed by Dawood Mirbaghri and produced by Hossein Taheri deals with the life and times of the Iranian friend of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in three seasons of Sassanid Iran, Byzantium and Hejaz Sadr of Islam. The filming of this series, which started at the end of December 2018, tells the story of Salman from the beginning of his birth, and its story continues until the end of the Ghadir Kham incident.
Also, the “Iran” season of “Salman Farsi” series, directed by Dawood Mirbagheri, is going to go into production soon, and the sets of this season are being prepared these days.

Dawood Mirbagheri also called the series “Salman Farsi” the most interesting work of his career. In an interview about this, he stated: The period of history in which Salman Farsi lived was very eventful and tense. It is natural that there were different political and social events at that time. Therefore, when I wanted to make Salman Farsi series, the political and social events and its coordinates were much more interesting than the historical episodes of Imam Ali (AS) and Mukhtarnameh series.
Dawood Mirbagheri, the director of the “Salman Farsi” series, has estimated the possible broadcast time of this 60-episode series in 1405 if the support continues.
Also, the “Hazrat Musa” series, which was directed by Ibrahim Hatamikia after the death of the late Selahshor and the illness of Jamal Shoorjeh, is considered one of the 2 special works of Simafilm Center, which was written based on the rules of a Quranic work, and currently the rewriting and research stages have been completed under Hatamikia’s supervision.
