The Secretary General of Iran Insurers’ Syndicate pointed to the effective efforts of insurance institutions to launch life and pension insurances that can provide effective help to retirees during retirement and requested the authorities to make an arrangement so that domestic insurance institutions, like insurance institutions of foreign countries, Advanced companies are exempted from paying imposed duties and value added tax in order to increase the penetration rate of insurance in the country and fulfill the goals of the sixth development plan.

At the end of his speech, he requested the head of the Majlis Research Center to use the expert and consultative opinions of the Iranian Insurers’ Syndicate regarding those plans and bills that are submitted to the center as per the examination, before the proposal in the specialized commissions of the Majlis. He also requested the cooperation of other relevant organizations, especially Iran Broadcasting Corporation, in connection with the development of insurance culture in the society.

In the continuation of this meeting, Badin considered the biggest threat to the insurance industry to be the adoption of inappropriate policies and said: culture building in insurance helps to improve the status of this industry.

Stating that the insurance industry in the country is far from its horizon, he said: the insurance culture in the country has not been formed as it should be and we need effective measures in this regard.

He added: Because every year we face natural disasters in various forms in the country, we need to improve the insurance industry and expand its scope.

The head of the Majlis Research Center, stating that the insurance industry in the country is still a nascent industry, stated: Expert work and research in the insurance industry can help the growth of this field.

Referring to the role of emerging technologies in various fields, he continued: the use of technology and intelligence are among the components that can be effective in improving the desirability of insurance in society.
