Shahrokhi named polo as the 21st work of world registration in Iran and said: Although the Iranians were the creators of polo and this game was popular in Iran until the Safavid era, but polo was forgotten in recent centuries until the revival of this sport. In recent decades, the ancient heritage was registered in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage section in December 2016 with the majority of votes.
