Fars News Agency – Theater Group: The press conference of the 18th Resistance Theater Festival was held today, March 8, at the Hall of Fame of the Shahr Theater Complex, with the presence of Seyyed Vahid Fakhr Mousavi, the secretary of the festival, Mehrab Mohammadzadeh, the executive secretary, and Amin Ashrafi, the secretary of the international section of Arbaeen.

Yasser Yeganeh, who was in charge of the press conference, first asked Fakhr Mousavi to explain the basic points regarding the 18th resistance theater festival.

Fakhr Mousavi, referring to the international organization of this period of the resistance theater festival, said: In March, I was assigned to be the secretary of the festival by the head of the Fatah narrative cultural foundation. It was found.

He continued: This festival was initially called the Holy Defense Festival and the last few years are being held under the name of Resistance Theater.

Referring to the changes of the 18th period compared to the previous period, Fakhr Mousavi explained: the difference of this period of different theater compared to the previous period is the addition of the international part, which will be in the first two parts and the Arbaeen walk, and the second part will be in the scope of Islamic countries; Also, this year’s resistance theater festival will start with decentralization in all of Iran and in the provinces, and unlike the several-day time of all festivals, it will be long-term and will start from September and the Arbaeen walk and continue until December.

The secretary of the 18th resistance theater festival said: The festival has six parts, the first part will be in Arbaeen and the next parts will include street theater, radio theater, stage part and international part.

He further added: Considering the recent events in Iraq, we are subordinate to the Arbaeen headquarters and the Ministry of Interior, and if the borders are reopened and the honor of this department will be held.

Fakhr Mousavi continued: Our various departments have been in several provinces, which we narrowed down to 9 provinces and entered into negotiations, and according to the conditions of the province, different departments will be held in that place.

After Seyyed Vahid Fakhr Mousavi, Amin Ashrafi, who is the secretary of the Arbaeen section of the resistance theater festival, gave a speech and expressed his condolences on the arrival of the Arbaeen days, saying: I wish Iraq to find peace, and regardless of the Arbaeen walk, the festival secretariat plans for this great event. be done.

He continued: “This event has no history in the Resistance Festival, but it has been held in different forms in other institutions. Therefore, with the help and synergy of these institutions, it was decided to implement the form of this event, which emphasizes mourning rituals in different parts of Iran and ethnic groups.” different and prioritize this issue to help these rituals survive.

Ashrafi added: 14 final works were selected from nearly 100 participating works in this section, two of these works are from Iraq and the other works are from the southern provinces of Iran, and we are trying to be a part of the Arbaeen walk with the presence of these works.

Then Mehrab Mohammadzadeh, as the executive secretary of the resistance theater festival, explained the process of this festival and said: the most important issue of this festival is to be present in the whole of Iran and to perform theater for the people of the provinces and to transfer it to the heart of the cities. We have chosen variously, among these, Yazd province has been finalized for the street theater section, which we will perform in 4 cities and more than 15 small sections in this province.

He added: In order to popularize the theater and make the festival among the people, we will add a teletheater section in the form of a production in the format of the festival, which has happened for the first time in this format; These productions are produced with the help of TV and broadcast in various provincial and national networks, especially TV 2 and 4, and its quality monitoring is dependent on the national media. Also, in the radio and theater department, we are trying to make the works appear on the National Voice in addition to the festival.

The executive secretary of the resistance theater festival explained: In the international section and in line with the Islamic countries, we are considering the countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Syria and Lebanon to send works from our country to perform in these countries. Of course, this implementation will depend on the conditions of that country at that time.

At first, Fakhr Mousavi, in response to a question regarding the budget of the festival, said: This year, we had a 50% increase in the budget, but considering the sections that have been added to the festival and holding it in provinces and other countries, this amount is not enough to hold the festival, that’s why we We have attracted 60% of the total budget of Raham Festival and used the participation of the provinces.

Then Mohammadzadeh announced in the announcement of the works of applicants to participate in the festival: In the international section of Arbaeen, 14 works have been selected among the 100 works of the applicants. Also, in the street show section, 380 works applied for participation, of which 149 works entered this section; 480 works participated in the stage section and the result of its selection will be announced on the 10th of September. There were 130 applicant works in the radio theater and the result will be announced tomorrow.

Ashrafi explained in response to a question about the performance of the show on the walking path: 5 or 6 points will be chosen and the works will be performed permanently at these points.

A question was raised from Fakhr Mousavi regarding the possibility of participation of people with different tastes and works with different topics in the festival, to which he replied: We welcome all performances and people, but in this regard we are subject to the law and the Theater Monitoring and Evaluation Council; The intention is synergy and we will have cooperation and synergy even with other institutions that are ahead of us in the implementation of the Arbaeen route.

In the final part of this meeting, the family of Martyr Saeed Qahari Saeed was honored with the presence of the managers of the Naradith Cultural Foundation.
