Holding a traditional dyeing training class in Ilam



According to Aria Heritage, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam, Abdul Malik Shanbehzadeh, the director general of the province, announced this news today, February 7, 2009:

The Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam added: “In this course, the basics and familiarity with plant pigments and the method of dyeing with various pigments including walnut skin, rhubarb, pomegranate skin, and ‌ will be taught in a practical way.”

“The course is taught by Professor Ali Mohammad Chavaki, a graduate of handicrafts who has been working in the field of traditional dyeing for more than 10 years,” Shanbehzadeh said.

“In this training course, those who are interested will fully learn the principles of wool dyeing,” he said. “The necessary consultation and coordination for holding advanced courses in this field in the future is on the agenda for those who are interested.”
