Holding Clay and Mehr Festival in Ardakan on the occasion of Tourism Week

According to Arya Heritage Report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Yazd Province, Mustafa Sepehari said: On the occasion of commemorating the International Day and Tourism Week, the Clay and Mehr Festival will be held for two days on the eighth and ninth days of Mehr by the Cultural Heritage Department and The partnership of Ardakan Municipality and Horno Company was held.

The head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department of Ardakan city added: In this festival, which was held at the restoration project of Mazari Senai, the students of Ardakan had good taste.

Sepehri stated that the main purpose of holding this festival is to show and promote creativity and art in the field of clay production and its use in clay structures and historical buildings.

According to him, educational workshops were also held on the sidelines of this festival, in which clay artists and artisans taught the participants tips and techniques related to making and decorating clay works.

Sepehri pointed out that this activity gives the participants the opportunity to get acquainted with the skills necessary to make clay works, and appreciated and thanked the cooperation of the municipality and the Department of Education and Horno Company for holding this festival.
