Holding the first National Radio Documentary Festival – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the information, propaganda and cyberspace committee of “Pajhwok” festival, Ali Bakhshizadeh, deputy director of Seda, said that the most important goal of holding the first national radio documentary festival “Pajhwok” was to revive the structure and promote radio documentaries. Identifying and introducing the talents of the documentary field, updating the knowledge of documentarians, expanding and attracting the audience of radio documentaries, increasing the attractiveness of the documentary structure are other sub-goals of this festival, which we hope will be achieved with the help of God Almighty.

“Documentary is a large branch of the programming industry that is created to document aspects of reality,” he said, referring to the place of documentaries in the world’s media today.

Bakhshizadeh concluded: “The most important function of documentary programs is to raise awareness, in which the media try to produce quality works with research support.” The research-oriented nature of these works makes this programming structure reasoned and valid for the audience, so its credibility is high. In recent years, the position of documentaries in the world media has improved due to these features, and many of them have made large investments in this radio structure.

The first national radio documentary festival “Echo” is being held in three main sections: popular and documentary. The works of the main part have been received from radio networks, provincial centers and cultural institutions, and for the popular section and radio documentaries, the deadline for submitting works has been extended until April 6th.
