Honor unveiled its newest flagships at Mobile World Congress: Honor Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro. The Pro model is equipped with a 6.81-inch LTPO display and Snapdragon 8 generation 2, and its camera was able to get the highest score of 152 in the DxOMark review and be at the top of the list. The standard model uses the Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chip.

These smartphones use the same design and on their back panel, a circular module can be seen to host the triple main camera and LED flash. In the following, we have a look at the specifications and features of these flagships.

Specifications of Honor Magic 5 Pro

Honor Magic 5 Pro is equipped with a 6.81-inch LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and provides users with a pixel density of 461 pixels per inch. This panel has a maximum brightness of 1800 nits and above it there is a pill-shaped hole to host a 12-megapixel selfie camera along with a 3D depth detection sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor under the display.

Honor Magic 5 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 8 generation 2 chip and uses 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 memory. This device comes with Android 13 default operating system and MagicUI 7.1 user interface.

The main feature of this smartphone is its 50-megapixel 1/1.12-inch primary camera with f/1.6 aperture, which is a significant improvement over the Honor Magic 4 Pro with 1/1.56-inch sensor and f/1.8 aperture. Optical stabilizer is also used for this camera.

The Honor flagship is also equipped with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 50-megapixel periscope camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. We are also faced with a 3D ToF laser for focusing, a sensor for measuring color temperature, as well as software capabilities.

Honor has equipped this smartphone with IMAX Enhanced Movie Master, which enables professional video recording and editing. With this device, you can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second and HDR10+ or ​​Magic-Log formats. With a score of 152, the Honor Magic 5 camera, beating the Huawei Mate 50 Pro, now has the best camera on the DxOMark list.
