Hormozganis expect to solve the gasoline problem

Mojtaba Naseri: 2 km line for gasoline is fair? This is the statement of Abbas Ghasemi, one of the citizens of Bandar Abbasi, who these days has been involved in long queues at only a few gas stations at the same time as the gasoline quota has been reduced and the Azad card has been limited.

Recently, Ahmed Moradi, one of the representatives of parliament in Hormozgan province, also protested this issue and asked the speaker of the parliament to reduce the fuel quota in Hormozgan province due to the hot weather conditions of this province and the need to consume more fuel.

Another Assyrian representative of Hormozgan also mentioned this problem and said, “During the visit of the president to Hormozgan this week, we will raise this public concern.”

Meanwhile, the daily consumption of fuel in the country is about 220 million liters (including diesel and gasoline), and only in Hormozgan province, which is one of the 15 border provinces of the country, 5 million liters of fuel are smuggled daily.

Since last week, the gasoline quota of 3,000 tomans in personal fuel cards has been reduced from 150 liters to 100 liters. Also, according to the CEO of the National Broadcasting Company, although there is a free card at all fuel stations. However, in order to prevent fuel smuggling, there are only 4 stations with free cards in Bandar Abbas, and this has led to the formation of long queues for gasoline.

In the city and near gas stations, some people sell gasoline for 10 to 15 thousand tomans per liter.

The turnover and financial profit of diesel and gasoline smuggling in Hormozgan province is so high that a Nissan van earns more than 50 million tomans in one day with only two fuel smuggling services. This is the official statistic that the Chief Justice of the province has talked about many times.
