According to Mehr news agency, the Iranian team won the gold medal in this competition by Amir Hossein Zare in 125 kg weight, Amir Mohammad Yazdani in 70 kg weight and Hassan Yazdani in 86 kg weight, and Mohammad Nakhudi won the bronze medal in 79 kg weight.

In the team ranking, America won the championship with 148 points, and the Iranian team won the runner-up position with 110 points. The Georgian team also stood in the third place with 80 points.

In the weight of 57 kg, after taking a break in the first round, Milad Valizadeh defeated Rezvan Quakes from Romania in the second round with a score of 4:1. In the next round, he defeated Ali Abbas Rezazadeh, the European champion from Azerbaijan, with a score of 8:4 and went to the quarter finals. In this match, he was defeated by Zalim Khan Abakarov, the world champion from Albania, with a score of 12:2, and due to the defeat of his opponent in the semi-final stage, he withdrew from the competition.

In the weight of 61 kg, after resting in the first round, Reza Atari lost to Kodai Ogawa from Japan in the second round with a result of 1:1 (30 seconds warning) and due to the defeat of this Japanese opponent against the American wrestler, he became the representative of our country from a distance. The competition is over.

In the weight of 65 kg, after resting in the first round, Rahman Amouzad Khalili defeated Yanis Madi from Comoros in the second round with a score of 10:0. In the next round, he beat Stefan Koman from Romania with a score of 12:0 and made it to the quarter finals. In this stage, he won 7-4 against Nicholas Bone Lee from America and went to the semi-finals. At this stage, Amozad lost to Esmail Mosukayev, the world bronze medalist from Hungary, with the result of 6-5 and qualified for the ranking meeting. In this match, he lost to Shamil Mamedov from Russia with the result of 8:6 and finished fifth.

In the weight of 70 kg, Amir Mohammad Yazdani defeated Patrick Olenzin from Poland in the first round with a score of 11:1. In the second round, he defeated Magomed Khanif from Azerbaijan with a score of 6-0 and went to the quarter finals. In this match, he defeated the world silver and bronze medalist Arnazar Akhmatalif from Kyrgyzstan with a score of 10:0 and made it to the semi-finals. Our country’s representative won the silver medal in the final match against David Taylor, the world and Olympic champion from America, with a score of 9:3 and a defeated technical shot.

In the weight of 92 kg, Amir Ali Azarpira won in the first round with a score of 11:0 against Woomin Jang from South Korea. In the next round, he lost to Zahid Valencia from America with a score of 12-9, and due to this wrestler’s defeat in the next round, Azarpira was eliminated.

In the weight of 97 kg, after taking a break in the first round, Mojtabi Gilij defeated Benjamin Hanis from Italy in the second round with the result of 8:2. In the next round, he defeated Takashi Ishiguro from Japan with a score of 11:1 and reached the quarterfinals. In this stage, he became the world and Olympic champion from Russia with a score of 4:4 and a technical blow, and he withdrew from the competition due to the defeat of this wrestler in the semi-final stage.

In the weight of 125 kg, after taking a break in the first round, Amirhossein Zare defeated Dzyanis Khramiankov from Belarus in the second round with a score of 7:2. In the third round, he won against Yunovan Smith from Puerto Rico with a score of 10-0 and reached the quarter finals. In this stage, he defeated Daniel Ligeti from Hungary with a score of 11:4 and made it to the semi-final stage. At this stage, Zare passed the Taha Akgul dam, the Olympic and world champion from Turkey, with a score of 4-0, and by compensating for last year’s defeat, he went to the finals. In the final match, he defeated the world champion and Olympic silver and bronze medalist Geno Petraishvili from Georgia with a score of 11:0, and won the gold medal in addition to earning a quota for the Paris Olympics.
