One of the things that helps to reduce the volume of smuggling as well as the abundance of fake goods is the identification of authentic products. According to Article 13 of the Law on Combating Goods and Currency Smuggling, all producers and importers in the field of spare parts are required to receive and install product ID and tracking ID.

In this regard, since the beginning of last year, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade has implemented the project “Authentication of spare parts subject to tracking ID” with the aim of preventing the entry of counterfeit and smuggled goods into the auto spare parts market. Based on this, currently people can ensure the authenticity of the goods in the market that they intend to buy by dialing the command code 4*7777*#4 or through the comprehensive trade system application.

According to Mehr’s report, according to the spare parts authentication scheme subject to interception ID, if a manufactured or imported part has an auto parts authenticity ID, it means that it has gone through all the legal procedures for entry or production. On the other hand, not receiving the authenticity ID of car parts makes the manufacturer or importer of accessories and parts subject to the provisions of smuggling of goods. In fact, the identification of the authenticity of car parts is known as a prevention method to prevent smuggling in the country.
