Housing inflation in September

A part of the report provided by the Iranian Statistics Center on the inflation rate is related to the inflation experienced by the housing and rental market in a month.

The September report also shows that housing prices have experienced an inflation rate of 3.4 percent in this one-month period, and point-to-point inflation in this sector has been recorded at 38.7 percent. The annual housing price inflation is lower than point-to-point inflation and has reached 37.3%.

How much did the rent grow?

On the other hand, monthly rent inflation is equal to housing price inflation of 3.4%, monthly inflation of 38.7% and annual inflation of 37.1%.

The inflation report of last month, i.e. August 1402, also shows that the monthly inflation of this basic need was 3.3% and its point-to-point inflation was 38.5%. The annual housing inflation has reached 36.6 in August.

The monthly inflation growth in the rental market has also been recorded at 3.3% in line with the housing market. Also, the annual inflation of this market has grown up to 36.5% and its point-to-point inflation is estimated at 38.4%.

Comparing these statistics with each other shows that the housing and rental sector inflation in three monthly, point by point and annual indicators has gone through an increasing trend in September compared to August.

The government’s claim about reducing housing prices

According to the report of the Iranian Statistics Center, housing market inflation is increasing every month, while the government claims that the housing market has been facing a price drop since the beginning of this summer.

On the other hand, since the beginning of winter last year, the statistics related to the housing market have been censored, and the ability to judge and make the right decision has been taken away from the activists in this field. Therefore, the actions of the government in the field of housing, instead of being able to improve its situation, have caused stagnation and stoppage of transactions.
