How expensive was housing in October? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, Iran’s Statistics Center published inflation statistics today. Accordingly, in October this year, the price index has increased by 2.3% compared to the previous month and by 39.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, and in the twelve months ending this month, it has increased by 45.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Also, the annual inflation rate in the first month of autumn was equal to 45.5%, and its range of changes for different deciles of expenditure varies from 44.6% for the first decile to 46.5% for the tenth decile.
Housing inflation in October
A part of the Iran Statistics Center’s report on the consumer price index is dedicated to housing and rent inflation, according to which monthly housing inflation is 4.3%, point-to-point inflation is 39.1%, and annual inflation is 37.9%.
The rental market also experienced the same inflation rate as the housing market, i.e. 4.3%, during the month of October. Point-to-point rental inflation is estimated at 39.1% and annual inflation at 37.8%.
Housing inflation in September
The September report also shows that housing prices have experienced an inflation rate of 3.4 percent in this one-month period, and point-to-point inflation in this sector has been recorded at 38.7 percent. The annual housing price inflation is lower than point-to-point inflation and has reached 37.3%. On the other hand, monthly rent inflation is equal to housing price inflation of 3.4%, monthly inflation of 38.7% and annual inflation of 37.1%.
The last month’s inflation report, i.e. August 1402, also shows that the monthly inflation of this basic need was 3.3% and its point-to-point inflation was 38.5%. The annual housing inflation has reached 36.6 in August. It should be mentioned that recently, in a report on the developments of the housing market in Tehran, the Statistics Center of Iran announced that the average price per square meter of a house reached 77 million tomans in September this year.
Of course, the inflation that some people really feel in the housing and rental market is much higher than the inflation recorded in these statistics. Now a large group of people spend more than 70% of their monthly income on housing costs, while they have no hope of buying a minimal house.
