According to Tejarat News, a meeting was held today to determine the tasks of the units that could be opened in Mehr Housing Cooperatives, with the presence of Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development, and Hojjatullah Abdolmaleki, Minister of Cooperatives. In this meeting, about 5,000 housing units were inaugurated by the order of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development in the name of Hazrat Ali Akbar (AS). Also, the three provinces of Alborz, Khuzestan and Lorestan submitted their reports on the assignment of Mehr housing and the remaining cooperatives in their province.

Rostam Ghasemi, stating that more than one and a half million units of land are ready to be loaded in the National Housing Movement today, said: This figure will soon reach the two million and 400 units that we promised before.

Ghasemi added: “We have also put on the agenda the assignment of the ceiling of four million houses that are to be built in four years, and the executive operation of a large part of it has also begun.”

The Minister of Roads and Urban Development announced the beginning of the executive operation of 860,000 housing units and said: ‌ Of this number, about 100,000 national housing units belong to the Armed Forces; We also intend to assign this housing in accordance with the President’s order and with the resources that we have provided for Mehr housing.

Ghasemi called the issue of housing one of the serious and fundamental issues of the people and said: ‌ The 13th government has decided to solve the problem in the country and I believe that with the coordination and empathy that exists in the government, ‌ this will be achieved and this will be done until We will implement the end of the government based on the order and emphasis of the president.

He considered the process of starting the executive operation of housing construction in the country acceptable and said: ‌ We will definitely use various ministries, especially the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, and I hope the executive operation of the construction agreement of 400,000 units that we signed. Start and take a step towards helping complete the National Housing Movement project.

Construction of 840,000 houses by cooperatives

Also, Hojjatullah Abdul Maleki – Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare – since the beginning of the thirteenth government, our focus has been on cooperatives, and in this regard, we have identified 600 large cooperatives with problems and solved their problems.

He added: “We have 10,000 housing cooperatives, of which 9,500 were successful, and the rest of the cooperatives have problems that have been caused by not addressing their issues.”

The Minister of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, stating that in the cooperative sector we received a score of 20, 19, said: “We have deployed the directors general of the Department of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare in the provinces who are responsible in the provinces to investigate the problems of cooperatives.”

He continued: 840,000 housing units have been built by cooperatives, of which 38,900 units have encountered problems that need to be resolved; Today, we are witnessing the operation of 5,500 housing units in the form of cooperatives.

The Minister of Labor considered the cooperative sector as an important sector in the country’s economy and said: “Cooperatives should reach their main position and achieve a 25 percent share in the national economy.”

National Housing Movement at a glance

Therefore, according to the report, the Law on Leap in Production and Supply of Housing (National Housing Movement) approved on August 8, 1400 is one of the grand plans of the 13th government. By combining the National Housing Movement and the National Housing Action, the government plans to build four million housing units in four years. Banks have been obliged to allocate 360 ​​thousand billion tomans of facilities annually to the plan to jump in production and housing supply.

According to the latest statistics provided by Mahmoudzadeh, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, 534,000 units in the form of national action and 330,000 units in the form of the National Housing Movement have a total of 864,000 units either completed or ready for implementation by March 5, 2010. It is said that about 40,000 units have been opened in the two projects so far. According to the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, land has been provided for 1.5 million units. A total of 5.2 million people have so far registered for the National Housing Movement and National Action Support schemes.

The loans of these units in Tehran are 450 million Tomans, other metropolises are 400 million Tomans, provincial centers are 350 million Tomans, other urban areas are 300 million Tomans and villages are 250 million Tomans with a maximum interest rate of 18%. According to the latest estimates, the price per square meter of the National Housing Movement units will be 4.7 million Tomans.
