Also, a few days ago, Alireza Jafari, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the CEO of New Cities Construction Company, announced that 60,000 of the remaining Mehr housing units in the country are related to new cities, of which 40,000 units are scheduled to be opened in September this year. He also announced the remaining units, i.e. 20,000 Mehr houses remaining in the new cities, including the units whose construction actually started in 2018 and after that. According to Jafari, the estimated time for the completion of the housing case of the new cities is Shahrivar 1403, i.e. one year later. In this way, the life of the Mehr housing project, which started in the mid-80s, will practically reach nearly two decades.
