How long will the Mehr housing project last? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, Mehrdad Bazarpash said yesterday: 240,000 Mehr housing units were left in the 13th government, of which 90,000 units have been delivered this year. According to the announcement of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development, in this way, there are still 150,000 Mehr housing units left.
Investigations show that some of these units are Mehr housing units without applicants, but most of them are units that have not yet been opened due to the lack of infrastructure services such as water, electricity, gas, etc.
Also, a few days ago, Alireza Jafari, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and the CEO of New Cities Construction Company, announced that 60,000 of the remaining Mehr housing units in the country are related to new cities, of which 40,000 units are scheduled to be opened in September this year. Delivered to applicants.
He also announced the remaining units, i.e. 20,000 Mehr houses remaining in the new cities, including the units whose construction actually started in 2018 and after that. According to Jafari, the estimated time for the completion of the housing case of the new cities is Shahrivar 1403, i.e. one year later. In this way, the life of the Mehr housing project, which started in the mid-80s, will practically reach nearly two decades.
