How many people have been taken to cinemas for Nowruz movies?

Although the sales of some of Nowruz films have reached billions, seven Nowruz films have so far managed to bring only about 200,000 viewers to the cinema.

Theater News Base: Screening of Nowruz films began in two periods with a gap of one week from each other, and from March 9, 2014, three films “Forbidden”, “Mahdi’s Position” and “Flower by itself” were screened, and four films “Zero Day”, “Man “Loser”, “Dog” and “Shadruvan” were also released on March 16th, but most of them did not sell well during this period, while Nowruz is considered by many cinema people to be almost the best release of the year.

According to the statistics of the Sales and Screening Management System (SAMFA), until noon on Wednesday, April 20, 1401, seven Nowruz films had an audience of about 207,000 people, and the best-selling film is currently the comedy “Dog” directed by Mehran Ahmadi.

“Dog”, which is named after one of the wrestling techniques, has sold about 2 billion and 605 million tomans with 64,926 spectators.

The next most popular film is “Mahdi Situation” directed by Hadi Hejazifar, which had 61,502 viewers and sold a little over two billion tomans of tickets.

The third most popular Nowruz movie “Shadruvan” is Hossein Namazi, which has sold about 1 billion and 300 million Tomans with more than 34,000 viewers.

“The Loser Man” directed by Mohammad Hossein Mahdavian is another popular movie in the Nowruz table, which has received 21,852 people so far and has sold about 900 million Tomans.

“Zero Day” by Saeed Malekan with more than 18 thousand and 500 spectators has sold 722 million Tomans of tickets.

But among the other two films released on Nowruz, none of them had even 50,000 spectators, and the children and adolescent film “Gol Behandi” directed by Ahmad Tajri sold 122 million Tomans with 3,561 spectators.

“Forbidden” directed by Majid Mafi, who screened the movie “Takkhal” at the Nowruz screening last year, has sold only 2,844 tickets and its sales figure is 92 million and 541 Tomans.

A quick look at the sales figures of the films shows that the comedy works – as expected – have been more popular this time around, and after that, the director’s name and the list of actors are effective factors in attracting the audience, but more importantly, TV commercials. The best example of this is the film “Mahdi’s Situation” – a product of the Radio and Television and a work of the Holy Defense cinema – which, as the only Nowruz film, has the “most” opportunity to be advertised on television.

In recent days, some owners of Nowruz movies have protested against the non-broadcast of teasers prepared for television.
