How much is the house and luxury car tax? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, last year cars worth more than 1 billion and houses worth more than 15 billion tomans were considered luxury and were subject to taxes. But this year, this number has increased and it is supposed to be charged 1% tax on cars worth more than 3 billion and houses worth more than 20 billion tomans. In other words, the tax on a car worth three billion is 30 million tomans, and the owners of houses worth 20 billion must pay 200 million tomans in tax this year.

But the question that exists is whether this method of taxation is correct and how much has the government been able to collect from this place in the past few years?

How to calculate house and luxury car tax

The head of the tax affairs organization did not provide any explanations about the details of receiving taxes from cars and luxury houses, and it is also stated in the news that houses under 20 billion and cars under 3 billion tomans are exempted from paying tax, and the rest of the cases include a one percent tax.

This is despite the fact that last year the house and luxury car tax was staggered. In such a way that cars worth 1 to 1.5 billion tomans were subject to a 1% tax. Cars worth 1.5 to 3 billion tomans had to pay two percent tax. Cars between 3 and 4.5 billion Tomans were subject to a 3% tax, and cars above 4.5 billion Tomans were subject to a 4% tax.

This tax is determined for a vehicle or a residential unit, and the total number of houses or cars of a person is not subject to tax.

The government runs the country with the wealth of the people!

Since 1999, the government has been trying to tax houses and luxury cars and sets a ceiling for the price of these houses and cars every year. But statistics show that so far the government’s income from taxes in this sector has been very small.

But the government’s way of taxing the people has caused many criticisms and many economic experts say that this way is incorrect. Among them, economist Daoud Suri criticized the taxation of cars and luxury houses in a conversation with Tejarat News and said: What kind of thinking and view is this that the government considers itself the owner of people’s property and allows itself to touch people’s property and wealth in order to compensate for his inefficiency in other fields. Do they want to build the country with taxes on houses and luxury cars? For years, they could not build the country with the income from the sale of millions of barrels of oil, now they want to build it with this tax?

Daoud Suri refers to the strange oil revenues in the past governments. He emphasizes that this government has had an income higher than the tax value of houses and luxury cars for years and failed to build the economy. Now he is looking at people’s property and wealth to run the country with taxes!

This Syrian criticism makes sense when we know that the government could not earn tax revenue in the first and second year of the implementation of this plan and last year the government’s income from this plan was four thousand billion tomans at best.

This is the statistic given by the head of the tax affairs organization and he said that we identified about 252 thousand cars in 1401, whose tax amount was 2.3 thousand billion tomans. This year, cars above three billion tomans are luxury; Therefore, the number of luxury cars reached 170 thousand units with a tax of 3 thousand billion tomans.

The tax on luxury houses was about 2.2 thousand billion tomans last year and will probably reach 3 thousand billion tomans this year. Of course, this income is approved by the government and it is not yet clear how much the income was from this place.
