In an interview with Iran Economist, Ramin Poladgar said about the approval of the new law of the Iraqi government in the process of buying and selling currency in this country: the issue of various problems in the process of transferring currency in the trade between Iran and Iraq is not a new thing at all, and it has been for many years with We have been able to solve these problems in different ways.
He continued: The noteworthy point in this regard is the type of information and comments of some media and experts who have intentionally or unintentionally raised the issue of banning foreign exchange in trade between Iran and Iraq. The Iraqi government only faces a very small and temporary restriction on the export and import process between Iran and Iraq, not stopping it.
The member of the Joint Chamber of Commerce of Iran and Iraq added: The most important impact of this law on the commercial exchanges of the two countries is the slight increase in export and import costs, which will also be very short-term. As a result, there is no ban and soon this issue will be resolved with special consultations of the Central Bank with its Iraqi counterparts.
Poladrag did not consider the approval of the new law by the Iraqi government as a threat to businessmen and traders and said: the implementation of this law is not in any way detrimental to the businessmen and commercial activists of Iran and certainly in the near future by the foreign exchange diplomacy team of our country who have taken positive measures in the last one year. , will be resolved.
This economic activist continued: “Unfortunately, some people and domestic and foreign media are trying to marginalize the Iraqi government’s new foreign exchange law in order to disrupt the peace of the foreign exchange market.” This process will not last long and soon we will witness a positive economic flow between the two countries with the smoothing of the Iran-Iraq trade route and the resolution of the currency exchange problem.
