Hozeh Honari and Farabi, the leaders of the 40th Fajr Film Festival + pictures

According to Fars News Agency, the 40th Fajr Film Festival will be held this year, while out of 94 films, 74 films complied with the rules and regulations and were accepted in the festival, and they have to wait for the decision of the selection committee to make about 20 films. Enter the competition section of the festival.
Meanwhile, Farabi Cinema Foundation with 6 films and Hozeh Honari with 4 films have the most participation in the 40th Fajr Film Festival. The two series have co-produced two films, and some of their productions are still being filmed, and they hope to present them to the festival secretariat on time.

* night Watch
The movie “Night Watchman” was co-written by Seyed Reza Mirkarimi and Mohammad Davoodi and directed and produced by Mirkarimi with the support of the Farabi Cinema Foundation. Mohsen Kiai, Touraj Alvand, Laleh Marzban, Vishka Asayesh and Kiomars Poorahmad are the main actors of “Night Watch” and some new faces have been identified by the acting call.
The filming of “Night Watch” began last winter and ended in June after a brief hiatus this spring due to the outbreak of the Corona virus. This film has a social theme. Mirkarimi last participated in the 37th Fajr Film Festival with “Sweet Palace” and Simorgh Blorin received the best screenplay.
* Rescue line
The film “Salvation Line”, directed by Vahid Mosaian, is a political-romantic work about the Islamic Revolution and the last days of the Pahlavi regime, portraying Muslim officers in the army and their struggles.
“Salvation Line” is produced by Azita Mogoei and stars Pegah Ahangrani, Amir Aghaei, Mostafa Zamani, Laden Mostofi, Hossein Soleimani and Behnaz Bostandoost. The script for “Salvation Line” was written by Vahid Mosayan and Mehdi Sajjadehchi, and was produced by the Farabi Cinema Foundation with the participation of the private sector. Filming of the rescue line has ended in October this year.
* No prior appointment
The film “No Prior Appointment” is directed by Behrouz Shoaib and produced by Mahmoud Babaei with a socio-family genre. In this film, Mustafa Zamani, Elham Korda and Saber Abar have played roles.
The screenplay of “No Prior Appointment” was written by Farhad Tohidi and Mehdi Torab Beigi with a look at one of Mustafa Mastoor’s stories and is a meaningful film about Iranians’ love for Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza (AS). The Farabi Cinema Foundation has produced this film and its filming has ended in June this year in Mashhad.
* Layers of lies
The film “Layers of Lies” is written and directed by Ramin Sohrab and produced by Mohsen Sarafi. The film, sponsored by the Farabi Cinema Foundation, deals with an action-adventure theme.
The cinematic action “Layers of Lies” is the first joint film between Iran and Finland, the production of which started 3 years ago, and after a break, the final stages of filming took place this spring.
The story of “Layers of Lies” is about a former firefighter named “Sam” who returns to Iran after a five-year absence and gets into trouble for saving his family due to the abduction of his wife. Ramin Sohrab, Jessica Wolf, Nader Fallah, Kamran Tafti, Arman Darvish, Majid Saeedi, Arsalan Ghasemi, Zanous Kanli, Milad Mirzaei, Farshad Assadollahpour and Pepe Karay are among the actors in this film.
* شادروان
The film “Shadruvan”, written and directed by Hossein Namazi and produced by Abbas Naderan, is a social film about the life of marginalized families in Tehran. The film was produced by Hozeh Honari with the participation of the Farabi Cinema Foundation and stars Sina Mehrad, Galareh Abbasi, Nazanin Bayati, Behrang Alavi, and stars Roya Teymourian and Reza Roigari and Bahram Ebrahimi.
“Shadruvan” is the second prayer film and its filming ended in October this year.
* Girls category
The film “Girls’ Band” directed by Munir Gheidi and produced by Mohammad Reza Mansouri is a joint production of the Farabi Arts Center and the Farabi Cinema Foundation, which depicts the epic of the 34-day resistance in Khorramshahr during the holy defense. Niki Karimi, Fereshteh Hosseini, Pantea Panahiha, Hoda Zineh Al-Abedin and Sadaf Asgari are the actors in this film.
“Girls’ Band” is Munir Qidi’s second film and its filming ended this spring in Khorramshahr after 6 months of production.

“Anti”, directed by Amir Abbas Rabiee and produced by Mohammad Reza Shafiee, is a political drama that is narrated in the context of one of the most important and inflammatory events of the beginning of the Islamic Revolution.
This film is a product of the field of art, which is still being filmed. “Anti” was written by Hossein Torabonejad and stars Mehdi Nosrati, Leila Zare, Linda Kiani, Nader Soleimani, Mahshid Javadi, Roozbeh Raufi, Majid Pataki, Emad Darvishi, Shirin Aghakashi and Javad Khani.
* Constellation
“Constellation”, directed by Hossein Darabi and produced by Mohammad Reza Shafa, is a product of the art field, which is still being filmed.
