A list of malicious Android apps has been published that have been installed more than 100 million times. If you have these programs, delete them.
From time to time, new lists of programs are published that are infected with malware. These programs are exactly the reason for the continuous update of the phone to the latest version of the operating system, and if you are interested in downloading and installing various applications, it is better to constantly follow the technology news sites in order to take the right action in such cases.
There are more than 60 popular programs that have been downloaded and installed more than 100 million times in Google Play, and when they are installed, a malware attack occurs on your mobile phone. The developers of these apps have inadvertently linked their app to a library that contains malware. This malware known as “Goldoson” is the main cause of infection of these programs. In this way, the performance speed of the app has decreased to a great extent due to contamination, and users are frustrated by this speed drop.
Google has issued a statement regarding this malware, which says that it is doing its best to protect users from this malware. The Google spokesperson continued in his interview with Von Erna:
Whenever we find a program that conflicts with our policies, we respond appropriately. We have alerted developers whose apps are in conflict with Google Play policy and that their app needs to be corrected. Users are protected against this malware with the Google Play Protect service, and if they want to install one of these applications on their Android device, they will be warned about the presence of malware in that application.
How dangerous is Goldoson?
Initially, it was McAfee security company researchers who were able to identify Goldoson. They have said in their blog that this virus can collect the phone’s GPS data and store the names of Bluetooth devices and Wi-Fi networks. It also prepares a list of applications installed on the phone and, worst of all, clicks on advertisements related to the applications without the user’s knowledge and permission.

These 9 programs were infected by Goldoson malware
Currently, the creators of the infected programs as well as Google are aware of the existence of such a virus. Since the developers have actually been the victims of this malware, they have quickly cleaned their programs from this virus and put them back on Google Play. But the application of the developers who disobeyed Google’s order was automatically removed from the Play Store.

We recommend that if you have any of the apps in this list on your phone, delete them now. Even if an application has been re-installed on Google Play, it does not mean that the old version of that application on your phone cannot steal your personal information or click on advertisements. Our suggestion is to completely remove these programs from your Android phone or tablet and not to take any risks, but if you need these programs and you must have them installed, do an update to protect yourself from this virus.
In general, before downloading and installing any program, first read its comments and reviews. If you see comments in the comments section about premature battery drain or displaying too many ads, don’t even bother installing that app. Because these programs are usually infected with malware, and by not installing them, you give security to your personal information.
