Illegal currency transactions and its promotion in cyber space is a crime

According to Iran Economist From the central bank, in the 138th meeting of the working group to determine the examples of criminal content of the Attorney General’s Office, “any illegal foreign exchange transactions in the cyber space such as buying and selling, remittance, peace, as well as future currency transactions, foreign exchange brokerage and promotion of the aforementioned matters in Cyber ​​space, without the permission of the Central Bank” was approved as item “E-12” of the list of examples of criminal content.

According to this resolution, the promotion of illegal foreign exchange transactions in cyberspace, which is often done by misusing the title of “exchange”, is criminalized, and with the announcement of the Central Bank, necessary action will be taken by the country’s attorney general’s office against these activities.
